IEP vs 504

How do I request testing for my child at school?

  1. Write formal/written request. (to the principal, psychologist, and learning disabilities teacher)
  2. Clearly state that you are requesting a comprehensive evaluation.
  3. State specific concerns and struggles both academically and socially.

Follow up after 5-10 days to ensure the school has received the request. You should receive paperwork for parental permission to start testing.
